From a Newspaper cutting during the 1940s

Submitted by Ken's son, Stan Rogers Ken Rogers

Ken Rogers and his Squadron was involved with supporting Allied bombers across the English Channel in the run up to D Day and beyond, this sortie must be have been late 1943 or 1944 as Focke Wulf 190s became common at that time and were a serious threat to the RAF until the Spitfire Mk9 came out, not that there is a mention of what type Ken was flying on this day. What this proves again is what a great pilot Ken Rogers was to be able to recover from this dire situation and make it home safely to live, fly and fight again, another very brave Rhodesian Pilot fighting for Great Britain in WW2.
