| View towards Salisbury, looking North (?) just after take-off from the airport in a Cessna 320, VP-WET piloted by R.Du Toit, a Dept.of Civil Aviation pilot. The aircraft had been modified for cloud seeding experiments. In the middle distance, the more open ground is I think the RLI barracks, then the city itself. Even in March 1974 when this photo was taken during the rainy season with clouds visibility is excellent. |
