This was a common sight, the aircraft had complicated engines and were always being worked on, engine changes, flight controls etc. These aircraft were registered in Gabon so that they could operate in all countries as at the time Rhodesian registered aircraft were restricted because of sanctions. These particular aircraft operated a weekly flight to Europe, mainly Amsterdam. Colour, dark green, white topsides, natural metal wings and lower fuselage. Photo taken from Civil terminal: April 1972.Looking East. Most, if not all the DC7s were ex-KLM aircraft.
