This aircraft was transferred to Air Malawi from Central African Airways (CAA) in 1968, ex 'VP-YTE' , CAA was the airline of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, its fleet of aircraft was shared between Rhodesia, Zambia (formerly Northern Rhodesia) and Malawi.
