Note the rocket rails under the wings, the 'New' Air Trans Africa hangar is in the process of being built in the background. The new Autair and Field's hangars are still to be built. This Provost is one of the 16 aircraft delivered in 1954-55, its Royal Air Force serial is recorded as XF850, the Royal Rhodesian Air Force serial was RRAF304. It was withdrawn from service in May 1977 as Fatigue Life Complete. (FLC) This photograph appeared in Flight International later in 1977.
