DH Vampire T55. R2424 after wheels up landing on the 26th October 1971.

Pilot was Flt.Lt.Chris Wentworth who made the perfect wheels up landing, minimal damage was caused. To burn off fuel he circled for over an hour and landed on runway 06, undercarriage failed to lock down. This aircraft is one of 10 T55s that came from the South African Air Force in circa 1969. This aircraft reported sold to Australia in 1988.
