RhodAF. DH Vampire T55. 'R4126'
Landing on runway '06' at Salisbury Airport on the 27th November 1972

De Havilland Vampire T55 'R4126' , these photos were taken as the aircraft returned after a dress rehearsal of the flypast planned for the following day on the 28th November when the RhAF Colours were paraded through the City centre of Salisbury. This Vampire is reported to be an ex-SAAF aircraft, one of 10 delivered to Rhodesia in 1969. It was taken out of service in September 1977as FLC.
