Rhodesian Air Force Douglas C47 Dakota R7307 'Chaminuka'

Coming into land at Salisbury, January 1973. Note the two 'burners' on the rear fuselage which were used for rain making trials at this time. Sadly, this aircraft was destroyed in a landing accident, brake failure, February 1975. Happily, all survived. Please see next photograph with close-up view of the 'Burners'. This aircraft is reported to be ex-RAF, serial 'KN471' delivered in January 1964.
